Art. 1
The competition is addressed to all young musicians of all nationalities.

Art. 2
The purpose of the competition is to promote the musical culture and encourage the young people to the music study.

Art. 3
The competition will take place on July 6-7-8 2018 at Sala Alida Ferrarini in Villafranca of Verona.

Art. 4
The performances will be public and split up into the following sections and categories. The competitors should submit a free choice repertoire, complying the maximum duration allowed:

Section I - Soloist Piano & Violins

Cat. “First notes” till 8 years (4 minutes)
Cat. A up to 11 years (9 minutes)
Cat. B up to 14 years (13 minutes)
Cat. C up to 17 years (18 minutes)
Cat. D up to 20 years (20 minutes)
Cat. E up to 24 years (25 minutes)

Section II - Four Hands Piano

Cat. H average age up to 11 years included (8 minutes)
Cat. I average age up to 16 years included (15 minutes)
Cat. L from 17 years, no age limit (25 minutes)
*Competitors must not exceed the indicated age, at the date of the Competition.

Art. 5
Facilitated transcriptions are not admitted.

Art. 6
Soloist Competitors are allowed to the take part to the four hands piano section.
Competitors are allowed to register in a higher category.

Art. 7
Management reserves the right to modify the competition announcement and eventually to suppress one or more categories in case of inadequate number of applicants. Only in this case the application fees will be reimbursed. In addition, management is not responsible for risks and/or damages of any nature which should occur to competitors during the period of the performance.

Art. 8
Competitors will be admitted to test the piano in the timings arranged by the organization.

Art. 9
At the beginning of each performance the competitors will present to the judgement commission:

1) Identity Document
2) Two copies of the program works.

Art. 10
Competitors will be heard in alphabetic order commencing from the letter extracted by the artistic committee. The detailed calendar of the auditions will be published in the appropriate website.
Each competitor is expected to keep-up-to date referring the website or reaching the management by phone.
At the end of the competition, the competitors can ask the commission for an opinion about their execution.

Art. 11
Execution by heart is not mandatory.

Art. 12
The results will be made known at the end of each category performances. The winners of each category are compelled to perform at the Award Galà on Sunday July 8th at 20.00 at Sala “Alida Ferrarini” in Villafranca, under penalty of loss of the prize.

Art. 13
The jury will be formed by five members of international fame chosen among members of musical institutions, musicians of different nationalities, professionals recognized for their experience, competence, integrity and impartiality. Commissioners express their vote by secret scrutiny in cents. Jurors with educational or kinship relationships with candidates must abstain from voting.
In the event of equality, the vote of the President of the Jury prevails.

Art. 14
The jury will stop the competitors or listen them again if they deem it necessary.

Art. 15
The jury decisions, that reserve the right not to award the prizes provided, will be final and unappealable.

Art. 16
The Management reserves the right to establish sub-commissions for the various sections, as well as to integrate them with other jurors in the absence of the listed Masters.

Art. 17
The soloists of the violin section will be able to benefit of their piano Accompanist, for whom there is no participation fee, or of the official piano accompanist of the Competition, by sending the following surcharge:

€ 30 for the category first notes, A, B;
€ 40 for the categories C, D, E

and copy of the music pieces to be sent through the appropriate form at the moment of registration within 10 June 2018.

By registration, to the competition, the competitor or parent, in the case of a minor, authorizes the association pursuant to Article 10 and Article 230 of the Civil Code and Articles 96 and 97 Law of 22 April 1941 nr. 663 (Copyright Law), to: publication on the website and related social networks of photos, videos or other audiovisual material representing the competitor, taken from personnel authorized by the aforementioned Association.

Art. 19
Registration for the competition implies the unconditional acceptance of the rules established by this announcement.


The absolute first with highest score will receive the below indicated scolarships:
Cat. First notes: € 80,00
Cat. A: €100,00
Cat. B: €150,00
Cat. C: €200,00
Cat. D: €300,00
Cat. E: €600,00

Cat. H: €150,00 total
Cat. I: €200,00 total
Cat. L: €400,00 total

The absolute first of each category can exhibit in a concert in one of the 4 days arranged by the Association

To the not absolute first prizes with scoring from 95/100 to 97/100:
cup and diploma;
To second prizes with scoring from 90/100 to 94/100:
cup and diploma;
To third prizes with scoring from 85/100 to 89/100:
cup and diploma.
All competitors will receive a diploma of attendance.
Judges reserve to assign ex-aequo prizes for all sections. In this case the scolarships will be divided among the winners.


Amadeus Academy Prize:
free masterclass with the Master ALBERTO NOSÈ offered by the Academy Amadeus Piano Project of Valeggio sul Mincio to be effected within 2018 to the pianist that is stood out for technical, expressive and musical qualities.

Academy Prize "Incontri col Maestro" of Imola:
free masterclass with the Master OLEKSANDR SEMCHUK in memory of Valerio Berardi, to the violinist who stood himself for technical, expressive and musical qualities.

To the absolute first of the competition will be awarded a concert directed by Maestro GIANNA FRATTA.

Audience Award
During the Award Galà it will be conferred the “Audience Award”.

Award to the Teachers
Honours will be conferred to teachers with higher number of applicant students and prizes will be assigned to teachers with the higher number of awarded students.

Award to the best piano accompanist
A Diploma of Merit will be awarded to the best piano accompanist.

Academia Cremonensis
A bow offered by "Academia Cremonensis" to a violinist chosen by the Commission at the end of all the auditions, the bow will be donated by Mr. Stefano Conca, President of the Accademia Cremonensis.


The application form is available on the dedicated page of the site. It must be fully completed and sent not later than June 10 2018 attaching a copy of the deposit receipt.
The registration will be completed only under receipt of confirmation email issued by the Management.
